Dodge Dakota bad key error

A common Dodge Dakota vehicle problem is when the key turn, but the car will not start and display a "Bad Key Error" Message on the dashboars. The design of these digital boards keys is not flawless and the possibility that the chip will go bad is very high. A typical problem that might happens is a broken or cracked exterior plastic shell that lets moisture from the air penetrate and weaken the circuit board and the chip inside the key that causes it to get damaged. The chip in the key is damaged and the vehicle computer does not recognize it anymore. In this situation you will have to choose between towing the vehicle to the dealer to call a mobile locksmith to your location to reprogram and sync your old key back to the immobiliser or duplicate the key on the spot.
